Patricia D. Board, 90, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Born December 6, 1932, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Roy and Florence (Rogers) Peterson. She married the love of her life, Wayne Board on June 27, 1953. Patricia was an avid Chicago Bulls fan and also enjoyed bowling and playing poker. She loved animals, having many loving pets over the years and often feeding the turkeys and squirrels in her neighborhood. Pat took daily drives with her mother and her dog, Annie, through Rock Cut State Park. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and homemaker who will always be known for being strong, independent, honest, loyal, and determined. Survivors include her daughter, Melanie (Alex Ramirez) Ecklor; and nieces, Rose (Keith) Hoskins and Nan Rice; several nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Wayne; son-in-law, Steven E. Ecklor; and several close family members.

Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Harlem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
