Nellie Radant

Nellie J. Radant, 89, of Machesney Park passed away Monday, March 5, 2018. Born February 10, 1929, in Rockford, the daughter of James and Santina (Salvatore) DiLonardo. Married Gerald F. Radant on August 6, 1955, in Dubuque, Iowa. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Nellie enjoyed the time with her friends playing bingo and going to Meet & Greet at Loves Park City Hall. She loved her daughter’s animals, especially, Miele, who visited her often at River Bluff Nursing Home. Theresa would like to thank the staff at River Bluff for their great and loving care of her mother. Special thank you to one of her nurses, Dan Ortega, for not only the love he gave Nellie, but for the support he provided to Theresa. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Radant; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; brother, Louie DiLonardo; sister, Angie Dolan.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Poor Clares Corpus Christi Monastery or Winnebago County Animal Services Auxiliary. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park.
