Molly Sanders

MACHESNEY PARK - Molly F. Sanders, 76, of Machesney Park went to be with the Lord, Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. Born April 30, 1938, in Caraway, Ark., daughter of Bryan and Mae (King) Dawson. In 1955, Molly married Jack W. Sanders; he died in 2001. Member of First Baptist Church of Machesney Park where she taught Children’s Worship for many years. Molly was the office manager at Bertel Peterson Company for many years. She was former president of NAWIC and was an avid supporter of Rockford Rescue Mission. Family meant everything to Molly and she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Lana (Dave) Wood-Brown of Westminster, Colo., Barry (Nancy) Sanders of Machesney Park, Kathy (Craig) Hauser of Orlando, Fla., Stanley Sanders of Tallahassee, Fla., and Trish (Rich) Edwards of Papillion, Neb.; grandchildren; Kim, Melissa, Candi, Matt, Scott, Vince, Sara, Cyndi, Stephanie, Nicole, Charlotte, Brittany, Tina and Jacquelynn; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Ann (Larry) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband.

Service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, in First Baptist Church of Machesney Park, 718 Harlem Rd. Burial in North Burritt Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
