Milton "Mit" Aumann

Milton “Mit” B. Aumann, 95, of Machesney Park passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021.  Born May 26, 1926, in Raub, North Dakota, the son of Walter and Margaret (Weinand) Aumann.  Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.  Married Cecelia T. Aspenson on November 20, 1954, in Rockford.  Employed by Greenlee Bros. for 47 years, retiring in 1988.  Member of the Eagles Club.  He enjoyed fishing and trips to Canada.  Survivors include his sons, Larry Symons and Richard Symons; daughter, Debra Mondawell; 9 grandchildren; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Clayton (Bernadette) Aumann; sister, Tina Lahr; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents; and wife.

Service at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane; Loves Park, with visitation from noon to service time.  Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
