Michelle Dupre

Michelle Lorraine DuPre, 33, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017. She was born May 7, 1984, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Michael and Jill (Fadness) DuPre. Michelle attended Harlem High School and played on the soccer team. She married Harold Barnes on December 31, 2012. Michelle attended Educators of Beauty. She was an avid animal lover, having had a cat, Frosty, and two ferrets, Skimo and Gizzmo, whom she loved dearly. Michelle loved her family, friends and people. She lived life to the fullest and was always upbeat. Michelle liked the outdoor camping life, having had many trips to Sugar River Forest Preserve with great laughs, stories and tubing down the river. She attended Heartland Church. Michelle loved the 4th of July, as she would pass out sparklers to the children. She enjoyed visiting the Clem Arboretum and Anderson Gardens in Rockford. Michelle was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Survivors include her husband, Harold; father, Michael DuPre; brothers and sisters, Shane (Angela Boan), Jacques and Michael DuPre, Brook (Rob) Anderson, Jaimie Andersen, Jennifer, Stephen and Jason Rice; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by her mother; grandparents, Glen and JoAnne Fadness.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, in Journey Church, 7825 Forest Hills Road, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
