Michael Lozano, 65, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019. Born March 7, 1953, in Chicago, the son of Harry B. and Lucy (Duran) Lozano. Member of Knights of Columbus 4400 in Joliet. He was a free spirit who loved his family. An accomplished guitarist and lover of all music. Enjoyed a good game of Backgammon and loved to fish. He was also a Eucharistic Minister and member of the choir at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Lockport. Survivors include sisters, Cecelia (Alan) Lipnitzky and her twin sister, Catherine (John) Fatur, Mary Magdalen (John Zink) Lozano and Lucia Martinez; brothers, Henry (Donna) Lozano, Robert (Ruth) Lozano, Thomas (Laima) Lozano, Peter and John Lozano; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews; Godchildren, April, Matthew, Jason, Al, Jacob and Sarah. Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Raymond and Ralph Valdez, Anthony, Paul and Richard “Gabe” Lozano; and sister, Mary Maiberger.
Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Burial in Argyle Scottish Cemetery. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park.
