Michael R. Larsen, 66, of Mauston, WI, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born May 18, 1957, in Tucson, AZ, the son of Melville K. and Lillian M. (Townsend) Hamor. Attended Harlem High School. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Married Laurey J. Moyer on June 10, 1995, in Rockford, IL. Owned and operated Larsen Trucking for more than 30 years, retiring in 2018. Michael found a new passion in farming with his beloved horses and donkeys. He enjoyed flying radio-controlled airplanes, fishing, hunting, caring for his animals, sci fi movies and westerns. Michael never sat down and enjoyed fixing and building things. Avid Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include his wife, Laurey; children, Michael Moyer, Jillian Larsen, Benjamin (De’Anna) Larsen, and Katie (Sherrod) Washington; grandchildren, Hunter, Kelseigh, Waylon, Justice, Jade, Jontrae, Benjamin Jr., Adam, Mia, and Royce; many nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Chica; and donkey, Willie. Predeceased by his parents; sisters, Diane Larsen, Patty Larsen, and Mary Cronin; and brother, Leroy Larsen.

Service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from noon to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
