Melvin “Larry” L. Krienke, 72, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at P. A. Peterson at the Citadel. Born December 30, 1950, in Rockford, IL, the son of Melvin O. and Frances J. (Johnson) Krienke. Veteran serving in the U.S. Army for 23 years. He married Maxine “Max” McKenna. Previously employed at Chrysler. He was an avid collector of eagles and army memorabilia. Survivors include his wife, Max; stepson, Chris (Kara) Giovingo; brothers, David Krienke and Randy Krienke; and his cats, Emmett, and Carson. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Richard Krienke; and sisters-in-law, Vicki Krienke, and Denise Krienke.

Service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Burial in Durand Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
