Melanie “Molly” C. Torres, 57, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in her home after a battle with cancer. Born June 17, 1966, in Munich, Germany, the daughter of Frank and Ines (Beinroth) Wendel. Formerly employed as an assistant manager by Sloppy Joe’s Warehouse in Key West, FL, for many years. Most recently employed at Barcol Door Co. Attended St. Bridget Catholic Church. She loved interior designing, gardening, the ocean, solitaire, puzzles, and bike riding. Avid Kansas City Chief, Pittsburgh Steeler, and Oklahoma City Thunder fan. She was a huge Johnny Depp and Kiss fan. Survivors include her children, Bill (Stephanie) Graham, Troy and Tabitha; granddaughter, Waverly; mother, Ines (Steve) Torres; brother, Chris Torres; soulmate, Knappy; aunts, Ellen Lintner and Loraine Murphy; cousins, Marcas, Adam, and Rachel. Predeceased by her father; and dog, Chopper.
Celebration of Life will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Cremation rites accorded.
