Maynard Nordin Parker, 86, of Machesney Park, IL, was called home on August 29, 2023. Born January 21, 1937, in Viroqua, WI, son of Jesse F. and Hilma N. (Nordin) Parker. Married Yvonne Hanson on May 18, 1957, in Viroqua. Employed at Sundstrand for 35 years, retiring in 1992. Member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and most recently Mt. Olive Church. Maynard enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and landscaping. He also enjoyed a good game of cribbage and euchre. He loved reading and listening to scripture. Avid Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne; two sons, Michael Parker and Kent (Linda) Parker; daughter, Lorie Parker-Weinrich; grandchildren, Trevor (Megan) Parker, Megan (Drew) McGuire, Michaela Parker, Chadd Parker, Noah Weinrich, Seth Weinrich, Grace Weinrich, and Chloe Weinrich; great-grandchildren, Graham, Rowan, Fitzgerald, Caden, Emersyn, Caleb, Bobby, Knox, Dylan, Brayden, Maya and Cyrus; one brother, Richard (June) Parker; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; son, Randy Parker; and one sister, Yvonne Fish.

Service at 1 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with a visitation from 11 a.m. to service time. Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery, in Viroqua, WI.
