Maureen Babcock

January 5, 1957 — January 21, 2024

Maureen “Liz” E. Babcock, 67, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in her home.  Born January 5, 1957, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Dana and Kathleen (Johnston) Bailey.  Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1975.  Member of Riverside Community Church where she was in the church choir.  Liz loved cats and antiquing.  Survivors include her sons, Aaron Roach of Nashville, TN, and Christian Babcock of Rockford; sisters, Lynda Bailey of Freeport, IL, and Kelly (Joel) DeWall of Arkdale, WI; brother, Dusty Bailey of Rockford; several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9 th , 4p.m. to 8p.m. at Sam’s On Harlem,  1031  Harlem Rd., Machesney Park, 61115. The family encourages you to wear your favorite St. Patrick’s Day attire in honor of Liz. Cremation rites accorded.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
