Mary Ann Schou, 87, of Rockford passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, in Wesley Willows. Born April 13, 1930, in Monroe, WI, the daughter of George and Sylvia (Trumpy) Grenzow. Married Robert L. Schou on May 6, 1950, in Juda, WI. Family was very important to her as she devoted her life to raising her children while constantly supporting her husband in all business and personal endeavors. Member of Beth Eden United Methodist Church since 1955, where she was a member of the Edenettes Circle, Memorial Committee, former Flame Award recipient, member of the Missions Team, and Sunday School teacher. Member of Winnebago County Cooperative Extension East Winnebago Homemakers Unit for 47 years. Former Election judge, 4-H Leader and Rockford Memorial Hospital Pink Lady. Survivors include son, James (Linda) Schou; daughter, Patti Luevano; grandchildren, Jenny (Nels) Chelstrom, Brian (Melinda) Schou, Mindi (Mike) Fasshauer and Staci (Steve) Otradovec; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Emma Schou, Jaxson Otradovec; sister, Grace Harter; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by husband, Robert; brothers, Earl and Wendel Grenzow; and son-in-law, Armando Luevano.
Service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 4, at Beth Eden United Methodist Church, 3201 Huffman Blvd., Rockford, with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
