Mary Ann Higar

Mary Ann Higar, 76, of Loves Park, IL, received her wings on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Born January 26, 1947, in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Cecil R. and Rose M. (Marino) Hirst. Graduated from South Beloit High School, Class of 1965. Married Larry K. Higar on January 18, 1990, in Rockford, IL. Member of GPAC in Loves Park. Mary enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and dogs. Survivors include her son, Paul (Penny) Lipinski of Machesney Park, IL; daughters, Heather (Todd) Haines of Farmington, MN, and Lisa (Shannon Crain) Lipinski of Rockford, IL; their father, Henry Lipinski of Loves Park; grandchildren, Jacob (Alyssa) Lipinski of Rockton, IL, Alex (Alyssa) Conti, Kaleb Lipinski, Kaylie Lipinski, all of Machesney Park, Emerson Haines, and Chase Haines, both of Minnesota; great-grandchildren, Lilly, E.J., and Ivy Lipinski, all of Rockton, IL, and Addison Conti of Machesney Park; brother, Bill (Mary Jo) Hirst of Janesville, WI; sister, Betty (Al) Potter of Kingston, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; loving pets, Mia, and Luka; special family member, Jodi Boxrud; and special friend, Ron Olthoff. Predeceased by her parents and husband. The family wishes to thank the Dr.’s and nurses in the TLC Unit at U.W. Madison, WI, Hospital.

Service at 11 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2023, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
