Mary Lena Bright, 95, of Winnebago, IL, was called home on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Born April 7, 1930, in Christopher, IL, the daughter of Robert and Regina (Zimmers) Nice. She married George Bright on August 16, 1947, in Christopher. Employed by Amerock for 25 years, retiring in 1990. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Mary resided at Park Towers for 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, doll cakes, word search puzzles and camping. Survivors include her children, Ruth (William) Hoyt of Winnebago, IL, Mary (Kevin) Finner of Rockford, IL, George (Debra) Bright of Mountain Home, AR, and Nita (Chris) Cowan of Sun City, AZ; grandchildren, Troy (Krista) Finner, Tami Voldrich, Tina (Karl) Capion, Julie (Alan) Meyer, Jason (Keri) Hoyt, Michael Bright, Sarah Bright, Jessie Bright, Amber (Brett) Muhlhan, and Barrett Cowan; great-grandchildren, Brianna (fiancé, Travis Jacobs) Meyer, Elinor Hoyt, Reese Capion, Ryan Capion, Josh (Jerika) Goike, Britany Goike, Allysia Sindermann, Mireya Cowan, Brayden Muhlhan, and Beckham Muhlhan; great-great-grandchildren, Oliver Goike, Madyson Goike, and Oakleigh Goike; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and sister, Ann Purcell. The family wishes to thank the staff at Generations at Neighbors in Byron, IL, for their loving care.
