Martha Henderson

Martha J. Henderson, 68, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, in her home. Born November 14, 1951, in Rockford, the daughter of James and Jeannette (Davis) Doherty. Graduated from Boylan High School, Class of 1969. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her sons, James Kip and Justin (Becky) Henderson; grandchildren, Emily, Steven (Shannon), Brendon and Austin Henderson; great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Aria and Jade; brothers, Gary and Mark (Louise) Doherty; sister, Amy (Doug) Resenbeck; many nieces and nephews; former husband, Mike Stromberg. Predeceased by her parents; husband, James; and granddaughter, Tabitha Henderson. The family wishes to thank Mercy Health Hospice.

Private Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park. Family and friends are welcome to process from St. Bridget to Willwood Burial Park for committal services. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park.
