Martha Bald

January 21, 1934 — February 19, 2017

Martha L. Bald, 83, of Rockton was reunited with her husband Sunday, February 19, 2017. Born January 21, 1934, in Roscoe, the daughter of John and Martha (Mahoney) Swanson.  Graduated from Harlem High School.  Married Donald C. Bald on August 8, 1953, in Loves Park.  Employed by Barber-Colman for many years.  Member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Harlemites and Barber-Colman Retirees Breakfast Groups, Women’s Bible Study.  Attended Hope Free Evangelical Church.  She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and doing volunteer work at Rockford Memorial Auxiliary Thrift Shop.  Survivors include daughters, Terry Goeddeke, Tami (Russ) Peterson and Noy; grandchildren, Kristi (Roger) Krahmer, Kurt (Jodi) Goeddeke, Kori (Andrew) Floto, Kohl Peterson and Kennan Peterson; great-grandchildren, Jake Henderson, Zak Krahmer, Xavier Goeddeke, Oakley Goeddeke and Xairyn Goeddeke; sister, Joan Razim; many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband; infant daughter, Tina Jayne; and many siblings.  The family wishes to thank inhome personal services, especially A.J. and niece, Jane.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, February 24, in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 511 W. Rockton Avenue, Rockton. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, February 23, in the church.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
