Mark "Duggan" R. Floyd

Mark “Duggan” R. Floyd, 72, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, in his home, surrounded by family. Born on March 30, 1954, in Dubuque, IA, the son of William and Arlene (Heim) Floyd. He was a 1972 Graduate of Harlem High School. Duggan married Kari Peebles on July 16, 1977, in Loves Park, IL. He loved coaching youth sports and was always very much a “people person” and avid Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, Fantasy Football, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Duggan was known for his vibrant personality and welcoming spirit. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together, his laughter was contagious, and his presence made every gathering brighter. He retired from IP Communications in 2025. Survivors include his wife, Kari; son, Kyle Floyd; daughter, Keyea (Ryan) Duy; grandchildren, Chase Floyd, Caleigh Floyd, Peyton Duy, Trystin Bachman, and Alyson Duy; brothers, Mike (Sheila) Floyd, and Tony Floyd; sister, Pady Fraley; sisters-in-law, Kris (Peebles) Arduino, and Kathi (Peebles) Bouland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; daughter, Jennifer Floyd; in-laws, Richard and Dolores Peebles; brother-in-law, Jim Fraley; sister-in-law, Janet Floyd; and nephews, Matthew Arduino and Tanner Floyd.

Services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. Cremation rites accorded. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, in Delehanty Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
