Marjorie Kay Bland, 74, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, in Dubuque, IA. Born May 23, 1949, in Rockford, the daughter of Walter Charles and Marion Lucile (Olson) Westfall. She married Charles Ronald Bland on December 30, 1968, in Rockford. Marjorie was employed by Rockford Health System for 42 years, retiring in 2009. She loved to read and visit with family and friends. Marjorie enjoyed attending significant life events for her grandchildren and family. Survivors include her loving husband, Charles; son, Andrew (Angela) Bland of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren, Emily (Broderick Summers) Bland, Alayna Bland, Kayla Bland, and Nathaniel Bland, all of Springfield, IL; sisters, Patricia (Mike) Freed, and Connie (Doug) Hicks, both of Rockford; brothers, Donald (Laurie) Westfall of Rockford, and Walter Dan (Melanie) Westfall of Springfield. Predeceased by her parents; and grandparents, Elmer and Hilda Olson and Frank and Marge Sadewater.
