Marion Louise Sunday

Marion Louise Sunday, 101, of Winnebago, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at River Bluff Nursing Home. Born October 10, 1921, in LaCrosse, WI, the daughter of August and Elsie (Bey) Panke. Married Arnold Sunday on August 9, 1951. She loved cheering on her Green Bay Packers. Marion enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, embroidery, canning vegetables, baking Christmas cookies and playing Bingo. Member of First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, IL. Survivors include her children, Sharon Giacomelli, Pam Grant, Steve (Alison) Sunday, Dennis Sunday, and Lori (Glen) Seaford; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Terry Mason; sons-in-law, Gene Giacomelli, Alan Grant, and Charlie Grant; daughter-in-law, Carmen Sunday’; grandsons, Jacob Grant, and Derek Eversoll; grandson-in-law, Todd Ghinazzi; great-grandson, Job Haney; numerous brothers and sisters. Marion was loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Special thank you to her caretaker and friend, Pam Morris, Northern Illinois Hospice and River Bluff Nursing Home for everyone’s care and support.

Service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 12:30 p.m. to service time. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
