Margaret “Peg” Springer, 91, of Beloit, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016. Born July 19, 1925, in Luke, Maryland, the daughter of Henry and Marion (Shrewsbury) Schramm. Married C. Spencer Springer on September 24, 1949, in Hollidaysburg, PA. Graduated from Grove City College in Grove City, PA. Worked as a biology teacher in Bellefonte, PA, a teacher’s aid at Paoli Elementary, and at the Paoli Library. Peg also volunteered at Rockford Museum and Friends of the Roscoe Library. After a recent illness, she resided at Riverside Terrace in Beloit, WI. Peg will always be remembered for her love of animals, the Pennsylvania mountains, and listening to Christmas carols in July. Survivors include her children, Dale Ann Springer of Bloomsburg, PA, Mark (Allison) Springer of Wilmington, NC, and Karen (Robert) White of Rockton; grandchildren, Colin Springer, Lauren (Chris) Cantz, Henry (Roxanne) White, Shannon (Jason) Latham, Heather (Patrick) Anderson, Kenneth White; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Eli, Robby and Branden; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband and one brother, David Schramm.
