Maradene Davidson

Maradene Davidson, 79, of Rockford passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017. Born October 16, 1937, in Cresco, IA, the daughter of Alastair and Alice (Warren) Robertson.  Married Ralph Davidson on February 23, 1957.  Maradene was formerly employed by Rockford Surgical, Dickey Staffing and retired from Furst Staffing Services.  Member of Holy Family Catholic Church and former member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.  She loved her grandchildren, buzzing around town in her red CR-V (GRMA D 12), hamburgers on the grill, watching Wheel of Fortune, FOX News and the Green Bay Packers.  Survivors include her sons, Donald (Eileen) and Doug (Kathy Quast) Davidson; daughter, Diane (Doug) Green; grandchildren, Andrea, Allison, Amanda, Abigail, Anna, Douglas II, Nicholas, Bethany, Courtney (Matthew), Monica, Alexander and Benjamin; great-grandsons, Mason and Eli; siblings, Judith Havnen, Helen (Don) Schaefer, Jim (Beverly Sullivan) Robertson and Sharon (Joel) Sjostrom; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Roy Kloweit, Milt Aaby and Roger (Carla) Davidson; sister-in-law, Nancy Robertson Novak.  Predeceased by her husband; parents; brothers, Warren and William Robertson; twin sister, Maralyn; sister, Karen Aaby; sisters-in-law, Joan and Sue Robertson, Doris Davidson; brothers-in-law, John Havnen and Leroy Davidson; and niece, Carrie Aaby.

Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27, in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, Rockford, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Memorials to Center for Sight and Hearing.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
