Mable Aline Russo, 86, of Machesney Park passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2020, in Mesa, Arizona, surrounded by loved ones while in hospice care. She was born on January 28, 1934, in Kennett, Missouri, the daughter of Fred and Jewel (Bolton) Constant. Aline grew up in Kennett, Missouri, where she lived with her eight sisters and five brothers. She moved to Rockford, Illinois, at 15 years old to care for her sister. At the age of 18, she met the love of her life, Frank J. Russo, and that is when she made the decision to stay in Rockford. They were married on October 25, 1952, and they had 8 children who were the center of their lives. She has 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren that adored her. Aline always had a smile for everyone. Her warm heart and gentle loving spirt was contagious. She volunteered in so many ways, the church, people in need, and letting every person she met know that they mattered. Aline dedicated her entire life to her family and GOD. She touched so many lives with her love and affection. She will be greatly missed. Heaven truly welcomed an Angel on April 3rd! Survivors include her children, Teresa (Terry) Russo Cox, Mark (Barbara) Russo, Joseph Russo, Matthew (Diane) Russo, Michael (Judy) Russo, Patrick Russo, Regina (Mike) Tessier and Cindy (Steve) Manring; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 siblings. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and 11 siblings.
Private family services will be held with burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Banner Alzheimer’s Institute in Arizona. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
