Lynn M. Getter, 69, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. Born September 20, 1955, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Albert and Constance (Van Ryzin) Hendershott. She married Joseph “J.D." Getter on September 28, 1973, in Rockford, IL. Employed by the record department of Rockford Memorial Hospital and worked at Union Hall. She enjoyed quilting and joined a quilting club called “Christian Comfort Quilters of Rockford Illinois”. Lynn also enjoyed spending her time crocheting blankets, cross stitching, and working on puzzles. She looked forward to adventures with her siblings, Sunday lunches with her son, taking her grandchildren for waffles and ice cream, and visiting her daughter and family out of town. Survivors include her son, Peter Getter; daughter, Tonya (Timothy) Williams; grandchildren, Hayley, Jesse, Olivia, and Lily; great-grandchild, Carter; sisters, Patricia and Karoll; and brother, Thomas. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and sister, Sandra.

Memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
