Lowell Wishop

Lowell Selden Wishop, 76, of Friendswood, TX, formerly of Owen Center Township, IL, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Born April 16, 1941, in Rockford, IL, the son of Roy and Georgia (Kinney) Wishop.  Graduated West High School, Class of 1959.  He farmed for many years, with his dad, in Owen Township, IL.  Married Deborah I. Miller on September 24, 1966, in Durand, IL.  Employed by Fort Worth Independent School District for 14 years, retiring in 2004.  Member of Owen Center United Methodist Church.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was also a Mason.  Survivors include his wife, Debbie; children, Dale (Barb) Wishop of Loves Park, IL, Dianna (Ramon) Sanchez, Jennifer (James) Derr and Reneé (Shawn) Hawkins, all of Texas, and Roy (Jackie) Wishop of Ohio; grandchildren, Georgianna, Nick, Kayla, Brandon, Stephanie, Megan, Benjamin, Siara, Scott, Aaron and Zac.  Predeceased by his parents.

Service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. Burial in Owen Center Cemetery.  Visitation from 5to 7 p.m. Monday, March 5, in the funeral home, with Masonic service at 7 p.m.
