Louise E. Paxton, 94, of Roscoe passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018. Born December 29, 1923, in Aurora, the daughter of Melville and Helen (Homer) Hamor. Married George W. Paxton on January 28, 1950. Employed by Swedish American Hospital in the ER and surgery for several years. She then worked as a medical nurse at River Bluff for nine years, before retiring in 1987. Louise enjoyed camping, gardening, flowers, and traveling. Volunteered at Swedish American Hospital since 2000. Member of Evans United Methodist Church. She loved all these things, but most of all – her family and all her dear friends. Survivors include daughters, Helen Dilley of Roscoe and Jean (Jim) DiGellonardo of Florida; son, Bradley Paxton of Loves Park; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; 11 brothers and sisters; 1 grandson; and son-in-law, Ronald.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, October 26, in Evans United Methodist Church, 7605 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park.
