Lorraine Jean Verstraete, 80, of Loves Park with her family by her side, she graciously entered the loving arms of her husband, Leo, and her daughter, Carleen, on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. She was guided on her final journey there by her devoted sister, Jo Ellen, and brother-in-law, Butch. Born December 13, 1935, in Rockford, the daughter of Prentice and Lucille (Lucas) McCullough. Married Leo N. Verstraete, Sr., on June 21, 1959, in Belvidere. Employed by Testor Chemical Company and recently by Rapid Print in Loves Park. She loved spending time with family, friends, crocheting, vacationing in Arizona in the winter and bowling. Survivors include her children, Roberta (Randall) Hagaman, Leo Verstraete, Jr., of Mesa, Ariz., and Mark (Penny) Verstraete; 4 grandchildren; sister, Jo Ellen (Butch) Thompson; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; daughter, Carleen; and 3 brothers.
 
 Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 15, in the funeral home.
