Lorraine Fuhrer

Lorraine I. Fuhrer, 90, of Rockford died Thursday, May 19, 2016, in Alpine Fireside Health Center. Born March 4, 1926, in Rockford, the daughter of Leonard and Martha (Rasch) Watson. Married Alton R. Fuhrer on November 27, 1943, in Rockford. Employed by Barber - Colman. Member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Survivors include daughters, Darlene Wood and Barbara (Brian) Prudente; grandchildren, Stephanie Flores, Christine (Charles) Horvat, Carrie (Greg) Prudente-Holden, Melissa (Andy) Dixon; great-grandchildren, Alexander Horvat, Elizabeth Horvat, Rachel Pawlak, Mason Weaver-Dixon, Kenley Dixon, Emily Holden, Tristan Holden and Michael Wood; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; son-in-law, Richard Wood. Special thanks to the staff at Alpine Fireside for their care.

Service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, in Concordia Lutheran Church, 7424 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation also from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 23, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
