Loretta Knodle

December 5, 1929 — March 20, 2017

Loretta J. Knodle, 87, of Rockford passed away peacefully Monday, March 20, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones. Born December 5, 1929, in Freeport, the daughter of Clarence and Belle (Fager) Myers.  Married Hubert L. Knodle on May 22, 1948, in Leaf River.  Member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.  Active for many years with the Republican Party, North Suburban Women’s Club and Garden Club.  She enjoyed gardening, was a talented fisherman and avid game player.  Survivors include her daughters, Beverly (Gary) Stancato and Debra (Tom) Ewert; grandchildren, Brenda (Adam) Curtis, Amber Stancato, Eric Smith and Corey Stancato; great-granddaughter, Livian Martinez; and brother, Richard Myers.  Predeceased by her husband; brother, Paul Myers; and sister, Lois Thomas.  The family wished to thank the staff at Grand Victorian for their loving care.

Visitation from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, March 24, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with graveside service to follow at 12:30 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park.
