Lora Rae Jensen

Lora Rae (Cooper) Jensen, 52, of Machesney Park, IL, was found in the morning of Friday, December 5, 2025, passed away in her sleep. This is an unbelievable tragedy for family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and she will be missed very much. Lora was born on Wednesday, December 13, 1972, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Donald “Don” and Jessie (Robinson) Cooper. Lora was an awesome caregiver. She nursed many people back to health to the best of her ability. Lora struggled with diabetes, PTSD, depression, and many other health conditions, but that did not stop her from giving her time to her loved ones. She met her husband, Ronald Jensen, Jr., when she was only 13 years old, outside of her dad's video store they locked eyes and the rest is history. They were married on January 30, 1992, in Rockford, IL. Their anniversary, coming up in January, and they would have celebrated their 34th anniversary. Together they went on to have three beautiful children; two sons and a daughter. Unfortunately, their daughter passed away at 12 days old, and Lora never really recovered from that travesty. She loved reading her Harry Potter and vampire books. She also enjoyed spending time with family, getting her dad breakfast, spending time with her daughter and husband, also her three grandchildren at home with her. The world will just not be the same without her. She will be forever loved and missed with all our hearts. Fly high and soar freely. Survivors include her husband, Ronald; sons, Ronald K. Jensen, III, and Austin Jensen; daughter, Samantha Jensen; father, Don Cooper; grandchildren, Sadie Jensen, Tessa Jensen, Ronald “RJ” Jensen, IV, Greysin Jensen, and Nola Jensen. Predeceased by her mother, Jessie Cooper; and infant daughter, Sierra M. Jensen.
