Lonnie K. Blackshear, 69, of Rockford passed away Friday, August 25, 2017, in Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. Born October 18, 1947, in Alicia, AR, the son of William and Ora (England) Blackshear. Married Linda (Smith) Milbrath on May 9, 1998, in Rockford. Lonnie sold cars at many dealerships most of his career. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and using the computer. Member of the Eagles Club and the Lithuanian Club. He loved taking care of the Lithuanian Park. Survivors include his wife, Linda; son, Lance Blackshear of South Carolina; stepson, James Phares of Fort Lauderdale, FL; stepdaughter, Christine (Mike) Wiler; grandchildren, Annie Blackshear, Royce, Blackshear, Chelsea Tyson and Amanda Wiler; great-grandson, Liam Guess; sister, Betty Ramirez; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Jerry and Billy Blackshear.
Celebration of Life from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 22, at the Lithuanian Club, 716 Indiana Ave., Rockford. Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park, assisted the family.
