Lois U. “Grannie Cuffs” Mounts, 72, of Roscoe passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019, holding her family’s hands. Born October 6, 1946, in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Robert and Ellen (Fields) Pauley. Married Jerry Mounts on April 24, 1965, in Loves Park, IL. Avid Chicago Bear fan. She loved playing cards, bingo, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed teaching her granddaughters to sew and crochet. But, her favorite thing to do was going with her beloved husband on strange fishing trips. Her family will miss her bullheadedness, cooking and her love. Survivors include her husband just shy of 54 years, Jerry; son, Jerry (Brenda) Mounts, Jr.; daughter, Shelia (Joe) Drummond; grandchildren, Joey (Amanda) Winkleman, Brittiany (Justin) Tyler, Ashley (Danny) Williams, Andy (Cassie) Mounts and Dakotah (Krista) Drummond; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other family members; lovable pets, Butterball and Cupcake. Predeceased by her son, Robert; and brother, Jim Pauley. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff in ICU at Javon Bea Hospital for their special care.
Memorial visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
