Lois J. McEachran

Lois J. McEachran, 95, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee, of complications resulting from a fall. Lois was born August 19, 1926, in Belvidere, Illinois, daughter of Walter and Genevieve (Fitzinger) Hawkey. She graduated from Belvidere High School. Married Russell A. McEachran on April 25, 1946. Lois was an active member of Willow Creek Presbyterian Church. Music was a huge part of her life, being a pianist and church organist her entire life. She shared her talents with numerous organizations throughout Rockford and Belvidere. Employed as an administrative aide by Woodward Governor Company for 20 years, retiring in 1986. Survivors include son, Ronald (Ellen) McEachran of Ames, Iowa; daughter, Linda (Mark) Southard of Franklin, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Heather (John) Turner of Ankeny, Iowa, and Jacklyn (Drew) Seliger of Minnetrista, Minnesota; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Aves of Kirkland, Illinois. She was predeceased by husband, Russell; her parents; and three sisters, Pauline DePoutee, Louella Bruce, and Beverly Paulson.

Lois will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private ceremony at the Scottish Argyle Cemetery in Caledonia, Illinois. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, Illinois. Memorials may be sent to Willow Creek Presbyterian Church or Maristone of Franklin, Franklin, Tennessee.
