Lloyd Brandt

Lloyd W. Brandt, 77, of Machesney Park was called home Wednesday, September 5, 2018, in his home after a seven-year courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born July 26, 1941, in Cherry Valley, the son of Walter and Faye (Davis) Brandt. Graduated from Rockford East High School, Class of 1959. Married Susan R. (Bricco) Beeding on January 7, 2005, in Rockton. Employed by All Rental Garment Company for 33 years, retiring in 1996. Member of Heartland Community Church and Illinois Tractor Pulling Association. Lloyd loved boating, tractor pulling, gardening and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Sue; daughters, Juliet (Carey) Deadman and Valerie (Jay) Soetermans; grandchildren, Hannah (Ryan) Arnst, Randy Deadman, Austin Deadman, Joseph Soetermans and Audrey Soetermans; sister, Nancy Gulotta; brother, Carl (Barb) Brandt;  stepdaughter, Shelly (Ed) Tinsley; stepson, Jeff Beeding; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; and sister, Norma Zaske. The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion and a special thank you to Tyson and Stacey Caler.

Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 13, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
