Lisa Smykay

Lisa R. Smykay, 50, of Loves Park passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in her home.  Born September 6, 1970, in Rockford, the daughter of Anthony and Joyce (Rhodes) Winston.  Married Chris Smykay on May 20, 2006.  Lisa was a kind soul who would do anything for an animal in need, especially felines.  She was a talented, passionate, cook and baker.  Survivors include her feline companions, Oliver, Leo, and Ted; husband, Chris; daughter, Elani; and sisters, Nicole and Theresa.  Predeceased by her parents.

Private family services will be held.  Cremation rites accorded.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorials in memory of Lisa to any local no kill animal shelter or sanctuary, Noah’s Ark or Hoo Haven.
