Linda M. Wilson-Andrew-McCain, 80, of Loves Park passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in her home. Born November 26, 1938, in Kennett, MO, the daughter of Leon Milton and Juanita (Edwards) Merdeith. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1956. Attended several banking classes at Rock Valley College. Married Alfred G. Wilson on June 15, 1957; he passed away May 25, 1994. Married Wyllis L. Andrew on October 7, 1995; he passed away on December 18, 2004. Married Raymond D. McCain on April 4, 2013. Employed by Park State Bank, United Bank and First Bank of America for 40 years, retiring in 1995. Member of First Baptist Church of Machesney Park and First Baptist Church, Osprey, FL. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and reading. Florida had a special place in her heart. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was known by them as their special “Meme”. Survivors include her husband, Ray McCain; daughter, Marla (Todd) Gregory; son, Mark (Tina) Wilson; grandchildren, Tara (Tom) Schroeder, Julia (Nate) Spinnie, Brooke Wilson and Andrew James Wilson; great-grandchildren, Brian Schroeder and Harrison Schroeder; sister, Paula Leifheit; brother, Gerald (Anne) Merideth; aunts, Erma Boase and Frances Williams; numerous nieces and nephews.
Service at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rockford Rescue Mission or Rock House Kids.
