Linda A. Roberson, 78, of Machesney Park died Tuesday, February 16, 2021, in Swedish American Hospital. Born May 8, 1942, in Rockford, the daughter of R. Burdette and Eleanor (Meier) Poorman. Married Richard Otis Roberson on June 15, 1963. Formerly employed at the Rockford Newspaper and Beef-a-Roo. Linda enjoyed local gambling, watching her grandchildren play sports, was a people person and remembered everyone she met. She was a food-loving sports fanatic. Survivors include her children, Paula (Leon) Creton, Becky (Chris) Woollacott, Rick (Karen) Roberson, Pam (Mark) Neubauer; grandchildren, Courtney (Chris) Strobel, Brittany (Ryan) Mitchell, Breanna (Brian) Andersen, Kelly (Eric) Creton, Emma Woollacott, Abby Woollacott, Grace Woollacott, Gabrielle Roberson, Samantha Roberson; great-grandson, Cline Strobel; and sister, Vicki (Sid) Bond. Predeceased by her parents and husband. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Swedish American Hospital for their care.
Service at noon Saturday, February 20, 2021, in Riverside Community Church, 6816 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park, with walk through visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.
