Linda L. Kohlhorst, 75, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, after a short illness. Born Linda Lee Cain on April 15, 1941, in Rockford, IL where she lived her entire life until a move to Gainesville, Georgia in 2015. A graduate of Harlem High School in Loves Park, she married Robert Kohlhorst in 1959, and as a homemaker, they raised a family at 522 Frances Avenue until his death in 2006. Linda is survived by her daughters, Kristine Pickett, and her husband, Mark, of Johns Creek, GA, Nancy Johnson of Peoria, AZ and Suzanne Juanez of Machesney Park, IL, as well as survived by her sisters, Gayanne Schepley of Rockford, IL and Sue Driver of Weldon Springs, MO. Linda is also survived by her six grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and preceded in death by her granddaughter, Erica.
A Celebration of Life service will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane in Loves Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org in her memory.
