Linda Kathryn Schuepbach, 78, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Wednesday, December 17, 1947, in Rockford, IL, Linda was the daughter of Cletus Charles and Erma Nell (Burke) Brandt. She married her middle school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” T. Schuepbach, on April 8, 1967, beginning a life together filled with family, friendship, and many adventures. Linda and Bob loved traveling together and created many wonderful memories throughout their years of marriage.
Linda worked for the Harlem School District from 1990 until her retirement in 2010. Later in life, she helped launch her son’s business, Custom Graphx and Apparel.
Linda had a generous heart and was someone who would do anything for anyone. She loved crafts and sewing, watching the birds and squirrels, and - much to the delight of those who knew her well - shopping at Chico's and Talbots. She also loved her Starbucks unsweetened iced green tea, a favorite treat that became one of those little things that was simply part of Linda. She especially enjoyed lunches with her friends and outings to Starlight Theatre.
More than anything, Linda loved her family. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life, and there was rarely an event, activity, or special moment she would miss. She was happiest when she was surrounded by the people she loved.
Survivors include her daughter, Roberta “Bobbie” Camacho; sons, Jared (Melissa) Schuepbach and Tad (Cassie) Schuepbach; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Russell Oltmanns) Camacho, Evie, Max, Brayden, and Emme; sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Cindy Dunn; brother-in-law, Tom (Linda) Schuepbach; niece, Crissa (Rob) Owens; nephews, Phillip Johnson, Charlie Johnson, and John (Casey) Schuepbach; great-nephews, Carson, Camden, and Ian; and great-nieces, Cailyn and Zoe.
