Linda L. (Esterbrook) Johnson, 73, of Loves Park passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017, in her home, surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer. Born May 18, 1944, in Rockford, the daughter of Robert A. and Vivian (Carlson) Esterbrook. Graduated from Auburn High School, Class of 1962. Married Ronald C. Johnson on June 9, 1984, in Rockford. Employed by Williams Manny for more than 30 years, retiring in 2006. Member of Grace Lutheran Church and Temple Rebekah Lodge 789. Linda loved her family and going to the cottage. She started family traditions of Easter egg hunts, Halloween and Valentines parties. Linda never missed events and enjoyed cross stitch, reading, Mickey Mouse, Precious Moments, antiquing and making sugar cookies. Survivors include her husband, Ron; children, William R. Johnson and Suzette R. (Scott) Turk; grandchildren, Riley Johnson, Jessica, Maya, Amelia and Joseph Turk; mother, Vivian Esterbrook; siblings, Judith Ruback, Robert Esterbrook, Jean (Bill) Copas, Sherrie (Chuck) Arnold, David (Kathy) Esterbrook and Renee DePue; brother-in-law, Monty (Jan) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Melissa (Jamie) Hayden, Sara (Lance) Calac, Robert E., Ryan (Rachel), David S. (Lisa) and Jason Esterbrook, Amy (Steve Wolfe) Pea, Aaron (Jacqui) Copas, Michael Arnold, Heather (Brad) Walker and Lindsey DePue; numerous cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends, Marian and Bob Newcomb and Rick and Rosie Bienvenue. Predeceased by her father; brother, Charles O. Esterbrook; nieces, Tiffany Ruback and Dawn Dean; brothers-in-law, William Ruback and Terry DePue. Special thank you to Heartland Hospice.

Celebration of Life from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 9, in Lombardi Club, 209 Olive Street, Rockford. Memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
