Linda A. Blackshear, 74, of Rockford passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, in her home. Born February 9, 1948, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Kenneth C. and Cleo Mae (Morton) Smith. Married Lonnie K. Blackshear on May 9, 1998, in Rockford. Owned and operated a variety of food service businesses. Linda enjoyed cooking, gardening, bowling, darts, bingo, puzzle books and reading. Survivors include her children, James (Wayne) Phares and Christine (Mike) Wiler; grandchildren, Chelsea (Josh) Woodford, and Amanda Wiler; great-grandchildren, Liam Guess; sister, Linda Tucker; niece, Sheri Taylor. Predeceased by her parents and husband.

Memorial service at 3 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with memorial visitation from 2 p.m. to service time. Inurnment will be at a later date in Cedar Bluff Cemetery, Rockford. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
