Leon Shepardson

Leon S. Shepardson, 92, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017. Born December 18, 1924, in Rockford, the son of Harlan and Laura (Scott) Shepardson.  Veteran of the U.S. Army.  Married Marian Davis.  Owner of United Lighting and United Electric for over 40 years.  Member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Survivors include daughter, Sue (Gary) Price of Springfield; son, James (Veda) Shepardson of Rockford; grandsons, Timothy (Debby) Price, Jeffrey (Christi) Price, Richard Shepardson, Mark (fiancée, Chiyoko) Shepardson and Scott (Kathryn) Shepardson; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Price; sister, Jane Anderson; several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his wife.  The family wishes to thank Jon Dimmick.

Service at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 27, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 12:30 p.m. to service time. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
