Leland Hudgin

Leland A. “Hudge” Hudgin, 79, of Loves Park passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at home surrounded by family. Born June 10, 1941, in Tiskilwa, the son of Clayborn J. “C.J.” and Leola (Lucas) Hudgin. Married Sandra Folkerts on March 10, 1962, in Rockford. Co-owned and operated East State Barber Stylists, retiring in 2008. Member of Grace Lutheran Church. Hudge loved spending time with family, hunting, and bowling. Avid Chicago Bear and NASCAR fan. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sandy; daughter, Debbie (Brett) Schmidt; son, Steve (Jan) Hudgin; grandchildren, Rebecca (Fred) Rymer, Zachary (Shannan) Johnston, Ben (Kayla) Johnston, Sammi Schmidt, Derek (Traci) Hudgin, Jeremy Hudgin, and Megan Hudgin; great-grandchildren, Gannon and Jaxin; best friend, Buddy. Predeceased by his parents. Special thanks to the Dr.’s and nurses at OSF St. Anthony for their loving care.

Walk through memorial visitation from 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2020, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Social distancing and face coverings required. Private family services. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
