Lawrence “Larry” W. Hawkins, 74, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Born March 18, 1951, in Brockville, Ontario, Canada, the son of Lawrence W. and Celina (Rayberg) Hawkins, Sr. Larry loved scratch tickets, darts and playing poker with family and friends. Avid Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include his daughters, Beth (Tim) Larson of Beloit, WI, Gail Barranca of Elgin, IL, Candice (Thomas Turnure) Hawkins, and Kari (Fernando) Constantino, both of Machesney Park, IL; grandchildren, Katie, Kylee, Jay, Ronald, Mayela, Martin, Tony, Brandon (Cori), Brenda (Thomas), Amber, Ashley, Tommy, Arnesto, Luis (Brianna), and Heather; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Robby Hawkins, Junior (Jody) Raatz, Ronnie (Leann) Foust, and David Foust; sister, Patty (Mike) Rogozinski; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved pet, Chico. Predeceased by his parents; sister, Linda; and loving dog, Yoda.
Celebration of Life from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Ellida Club, 1201 Sandy Hollow Road, Rockford, IL. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL.
