Larry P. Chandler, 69, of Caledonia passed away peacefully Friday, February 23, 2018, in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Born December 23, 1948, in Gleason, TN, the son of James and Lela M. (Hill) Chandler. Veteran of the U.S. Army Airborne Infantry. Married Marylee Reinoehl on June 29, 1968. Owned and operated Roscoe Garage Door and Cropps Door Service for many years, retiring 3 years ago. He enjoyed old cars, motorcycles, attending car shows and was an avid NASCAR fan. Larry was a collector of many things. He enjoyed camping, traveling and fishing. Larry was a firebug who loved campfires and his wood burning stove. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Marylee; children, Jeff (Leslie) Chandler and Jennifer (Kenny Zwilling) Chandler; grandchildren, Erica Martin, Zack Peterson, Lauren Chandler and Nathan Chandler; great-grandchild, Jada Martin; cousin, who was like a brother, Gilbert (Shelby) Perritt; four-legged best friend, Tar Baby; special friends, Roger Dobratz and Patrick Anderson. Predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Nathan, Billie, Glen and Gordon Chandler.
Service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 11 a.m. to service time. Burial in Argyle Scottish Cemetery.
