Kyong "Kay" Walseth

Kyong “Kay” C. Walseth, 83, of Loves Park was called home Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in her home.  Born January 24, 1938, in Taegu, South Korea, the daughter of Tae Jin and Il Sun (Kim) Park.  Married Richard A. Walseth on December 18, 1962, in Seoul, South Korea.  Employed by Greenlee Textron for more than 40 years.  Active member of First Korean Church.  Kay loved caring for her family.  Survivors include her daughter, Susan Herrmann of Rockford; son, Craig (Sarah) Walseth of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Matthew Petersen, Parker Walseth, Jonah Walseth, and Oliver Walseth; siblings, Wal He Park, Joo He Park, Jong Soo Park, and Young He Park; many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents; husband; and brother, Chang Soo Park.  The family wishes to thank Jong Soo for his dedicated care and love for his sister.

Service at 11 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.  Burial in Arlington Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
