Kenneth "Ken" Thomas

Kenneth “Ken” Leroy Thomas, 81, of Loves Park passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021, in SwedishAmerican Hospital.  Born October 11, 1939, in Beloit, Wisconsin, the son of Lester and Virna (Helser) Thomas.  Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving for six years.  Married Jean Young on April 5, 1958.  Formerly employed by Greenlee / Textron and retired from Eclipse.  Ken was alderman of the 4th ward in Loves Park.  He loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and camping.  Survivors include his wife, Jean; sons, Greg Thomas and Neil (Ellette) Thomas; grandchildren, Nick (Amanda) Thomas, Austin (Stephanie) Thomas, Amorette (Dale) Randall, Amorin Thomas, and Anna Thomas; several great-grandchildren.  Predeceased by his children, Randy and Jolene.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.  Burial in Rockton Township Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Rockton, IL.
