Kenneth “Kenny” James Poole, 66, of Rockford passed away Monday, March 9, 2020, in his home. Born December 20, 1953, in Rockford, the son of Kenneth A. and Eleanor Jean (Burns) Poole. Kenny was a proud veteran, serving 21 years in U.S. Navy as an electronics specialist. Formerly employed by Gordon-Flesch. Kenny was currently a freelance photographer, photographing local bands and nature. He loved music, being outdoors, movies and art. Kenny enjoyed sketching, watercolors and reading science fiction. But most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his daughters, Angela (Michael) Lockard, Jennifer (Brandon) Muncy and Kelly (Chuck Everman) Poole; grandchildren, Piper, Dylan and Sidney; mother, Eleanor Poole; siblings, Gary (Carol) Poole, Barbara McKiski, Russell (Shirley) Poole and Joanne Martin; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, numerous aunts and uncles.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time.
