Kenneth D. Pennington, 68, of Loves Park passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017. Born July 16, 1949, in Rockford, the son of Everett and Elizabeth M. (Hough) Pennington. Employed by Woodward Governor until 2009. Kenneth was diagnosed with A.L.S. earlier this year. He enjoyed working on old tube radios, camping, swimming at the YMCA with his granddaughter and cookouts with friends and family. Kenneth was a big Ice Hog fan. He loved music and was a big fan of Darryl Hall and John Oates! He also loved bike riding. Survivors include daughter, Amy (Shawn) Hale; son, Rob Pennington; grandchildren, Sean Hale, Aiden Pennington, Tiffany Hale and Mason Hale; great-grandson, Hunter Hale; sisters, Debra (Jack) Harrison and Linda Cassero; brother, Dennis Pennington; nieces, Sarah Pennington, Alisha Varone, Caitlyn Roufa and Kelly King; nephews, Kevin Thom, Kyle Thom and Trevor Pennington. Predeceased by his parents.
