Keith A. Polhamus, 86, of Loves Park passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017, in his home. Born January 25, 1931, in Augusta, Wis., the son of Leslie and Gena (Wilson) Polhamus. Married Patricia Townson on November 27, 1954, in Rockford. Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy. Employed by Barker Rockford for 38 years, retiring in 1996. Member of the Lombardi Club. Volunteer fireman for the Loves Park Fire Department for 13 years. Keith loved his annual fishing trips to Canada and tailgating at football games, especially the Vikings. He loved woodworking and caring for his beautiful roses. Survivors include his wife; son, Ken (Marcia) Polhamus; daughter, Debbie (Rick) Merryman; stepson, Michael Havens; grandchildren, Kenny Polhamus, Mike (Sherri) Polhamus, Randy (Emily) Waite and Pattie (Adam) Cadie; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; and brother, Kermit Polhamus.
Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. For more information, visit delehantyfh.com.
