Kathleen M. Lutzow, 75, of Belvidere, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, in her home. Born October 7, 1945, in Rockford, the daughter of Eskell and Pearl (Shaw) Carlson. Married Harlan K. Lutzow on August 30, 1969, in Rockford. Attended North Park University. Member of Broadway Covenant Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a caregiver for all the neighborhood children and was a bookkeeper for Harlan. Kathleen enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crafting, sewing, knitting, needlepoint, ceramics, cooking and baking. She hated swimming but loved boating. All of her children, nieces and nephews always had a safe haven at the farm. She was sarcastic, had a quick wit and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Erik (Dawn) Lutzow and Peter (Toni) Lutzow; grandchildren, Madison Lutzow, Caleb Hoey, Olivia Lutzow, Gaven Lutzow and Logan Lutzow; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and The Alfredsons God Children; special friend, Barry Young. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Harlan; brother, Steve Carlson; sister, Cam Wilburn; and nephew, Scott Carlson.
Graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery, 1011 Auburn Street, Rockford. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Kathleen’s name.
